Having never set foot into this part of the forum, I thought it is prob the best place to put a thread about a quad, so here I am! Mods.. If its in the wrong place, please advise as to where it should be.
I've been contemplating buying a quad for a while, and being a diesel head, there was only a few options... 1, An old Polaris diesel which really were snails... 2, A new Kubota RTV from work, which is too big and clumsy for what I want to use it for, or 3. An new Arctic Cat 700 diesel quad.. Well, option 3 is the one I took.
Now I know I could have bought a nice car for that, or a Series vehicle, or a tidy ute etc, but none of those can go deep into remote bush without leaving big marks. I've never owned a new vehicle, and never will again, so, here it is.....
My Arctic Cat 700cc Super Duty Diesel quad atop the Greenock Ranges this morning, where I was in some really rough, difficult to access scrub bring in a mates sheep. It took us several hours, and we didn't leave a mark! I was told that these diesels are gutless and slow.. Well, I kept up with a Honda 450cc Ag bike no worries, and had a hoot doing it! We clocked 78kmh on the paddocks getting to the hill, and the diesel didn't miss a beat!!:)

Its a bit different to the little Suzi I bought last year that gets treated like an ag bike more often than not.
