Anyone had Issue with excessive black smoke on acceleration. I think it has only recently started doing this or maybe I have just noticed it now.
Also seams to lack performance when accelerating at 100.

Could be a few things: cracked (long) intercooler hose, a clogged MAP sensor, or dirty MAF sensor. Even a dirty air filter could do it.

The big fat thin-walled intercooler hose can split. The split can be felt if not seen. Duct tape will provide a temporary fix.

Yes! Had it in 2009 with my D3 HSE. A large volume of black smoke when accelerating; less so when you're already doing about 80 km/h and then putting your foot down. Over a couple of days I remember it getting a bit worse (to the point of embarrassing on the road), and then performance lagged at about 90 km/h. It was a long time ago, but from memory the diagnostic reported low compression and incorrect pressures associated with the exhaust system. In the end, turned out it was a faulty injector I think... Hopefully it is only your hose, because I do recall the cost being pretty steep!

Thanks to you all for your replies, I will investigate all suggestions.
Turned out to be a split in main turbo hose. I will also check the other items mentioned.
Again thanks for the replies.
