Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a mind numbing loud rattle coming from their Isuzu powered 110s around the brake pedal/throttle pedal area in the foot well?

It happens at around 25kmph in 2nd, 45 kms in 3rd and 65kmph in 4th.

It is driving me insane  and I will be doing 1500 ks next week.

Any guidance greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Cameron

The problem is usually easy to spot,

First remove the bonnet the sitting in the drivers seat look forward and to the left of the. Pedal towers.

That big lump of machined cast iron is an Isuzu 4bd1 and given enough time it will rattle the carbon out of a diamond.

Get ear plugs is the first solution. Check the pedal tower mounts and the aircleaner mounting brackets and straps second and hope like he'll it's not the layshaft support or input shaft bearings.

Depending on where you are if.it can drive out to ipswichish I'm happy to have an eyeball at it for you.

As Dave suggests, it could be a lot of things, but perhaps the most likely is that one of the supports for the aircleaner is broken.

It is a common issue as John said, my air cleaner mount broke years ago, took a while to find the source, and as Dave has stated given enough time the Isuzu will rattle everything to pieces, I have even had sealed 3/16" dia rivets come loose on the bodywork, but I still love my Isuzu 110, cheers Dennis

Really? Also have found that Isuzu powered landy is not good to drive with a hangover  One thing that maybe you could check is the idle. Let these motors get below 900 rpm and lets just say right now that you may notice a bit more shake rattle and roll.
