Hi all,

No real reason for this post except to say that I am loving my car.

We're about a week into a 3 week road trip. We had some time in Eden camping at a caravan park. Now we are heading Nth and will end up in Sydney and will then head back maybe through the high country for a bit- I hope. Everyone else wants the beach and I want the mountains!

I finally finished my drawer system before we left and installed a MSA drop slide. It's working great and the Traxide is doing its thing- no hassles or issues.

I did have a slight hiccup the other day. Heading to Magic Mountain, I got an alert saying "coolant level low". However the coolant level while cold is well within the range and the warning has since gone away- so seems OK for now.

I am so impressed with this car as a tourer. It has so much power on the open road. There seems to be a lot of folk who love to drive at 87.5 Kmph and then "open her up" to 105 whenever there is an opportunity to overtake safely. That means you gotta do 125 to get past them while the window is there. Why do they do that???

The other day, my young bloke ran into a stationary object at speed while trying to get a kite up. I have warned him about running while looking behind himself, but young blokes being what they are...Anyway, needless to say there was blood pi$$ing everywhere and a large deep cut. We made the drive from Eden to Pambula Hospital in well under the 20 minute time frame it should take. The D4 was impressive and the lad is all good and has some stories to tell when he gets back to school.

Dropping to access hight and then flicking the Llams to green makes access to the roof and back much easier.

Here are a couple of photos. We have stopped in Gerroa for the night and will do a couple of "pamper days" in Bowral before heading to Sydney. Just driving over the Bridge and taking a Ferry will be enough to impress my kids at this stage of their life.

After that, will head back via the southern highlands. It's also a nice reminder of when me and my lad flew up to pick up the car 18 moths ago and I have been telling my Wife about how nice the country is in that part of the world.

Anyhow- that's all for now.

Luke

Hey Andy,

I have a 40litre. It suits us OK. From time to time it could afford to be a bit bigger but if you shop as you go, it's fine. Works a treat keeping the beer cold.

I was around at a friends place this morning with our mammoth horse float in tow.....she is keen to buy it.

She drives a Prado.

She decided she would be happy just to take my car for a spin to get a feel for the float.

She came back and raved about how good the disco was....her Prado is a 2012. Took a few minutes to get her back on the topic at hand being the float purchase.

She bought the float....but now needs a tow car and is trying to convince her partner that they also need a Disco.

Brett....
