Hi guys was chatting to Blkknight last night (I'm in rainy Qld atm) and he mentioned that there is a Holden MAF that is a direct swap for the LR one for my D2a Td5.

Can anyone tell me which one it is? I've searched and can't find anything here:(

Cheers

The Siemens/VDO are OEM and recommended, but you can choose any of the list MHK 100620,ROVER MHK 100620; Air Mass Sensor (http://www.yoyopart.com/oem/6726170/rover-mhk100620.html#interchange)

I'm not to sure of the direct swap but you can get a VDO MAF from overseas for $120 delivered to your door. I did this with mine and has been running great.

Well.... there was nothing wrong with my MAF afterall:D

Thanks to the extremely helpful crew at MR Automotive the probelem is now solved. Turns out that the wires to the MAF dropped down and made contact with the serpentine belt. This in turn shorted the MAF circuit.

Now all this sounds simple to assess, but the guys really did put in a very solid hour and a half to get things sorted and tested.

Total cost? $125.50. Happy New Year to the guys at M.R and also to BlkKnight for his assistance.
