Picked up my (new to me) Range Rover Vogue 2006 TD6 and had a leisurely drive around Brisbane and then back to Perth.
(5008 kilometres 515 litres diesel 10.3 litres per 100 kms $821)
Been looking for over a year to treat myself and finally this one became available upgraded from my what was new in 1998 Pajero GLS V6.
Took it off road as soon as I got back and was pleasantly surprised in its ability given it has road tyres got it filthy then cleaned it up.

Nice vehicle,we were looking at one but decided to get a Territory instead.
The auto isnt up to the torque of the BMW straight 6,its advisable to change the trannie oil ASAP and change it every 12 months to help slow the damage.(clutch material sheds and destroys vital components over a period of time)
Its the same gearbox used in the VE Commodore, they too suffer issues when used for towing.
There are plenty of threads on the L322 gearbox and mods to help fix the issue, worth searching for and reading if you wernt aware.
Other than that,a brilliant vehicle, the gearbox issue is what put me off buying one.
Waiting for the TDV8 versions to come down a bit then wouldnt mind getting one for the good lady.

I saw the ad, it's a nice looking low mileage well looked after td6 update. One of the last Td6 RR. I was also looking about that time. Yours and one below came up just after I bought. Update models were scarce as. After I buy, two come on market in Qld. Still, very happy with my purchase. The RR is fantastic for long drives.

A. Transfer RRV and Private Plates into my name in QLD against the property there.
Has to be done in person.
Have to have a property in QLD to garage it against.
Have to pay QLD stamp duty.

When I bought my Series 1 in Gympie I drove it across to Perth with no plates. Just a sticker on the window with receipt to show it was registered in Qld. I was never pulled over in fact most the cops waved to me. They don't see many original condition old Landys driving around. Anyway the Qld plates were sent to my house in Freo. I told them I was returning to Qld in 12 months so they even sent the renewal notice to WA. Surprised me I just thought that they were so short of dough in Qld that they would take the money.:)

Yes I did a lot of research and the GM auto did concern me a little but I think you next to put it all into perspective.

DeRanged Rover wrote in a post late 2005 L322 td6 - - last week I carried out its first auto service since new at 245k km

I did change all the oils including all the filters Engine, Automatics, Transfer and Both diffs and even the little oil breather which I replaced with the uprated Vortex BMW type.

Auto Fluid was clean and filter had a little dark material inside and around magnet really wasn't warranted but oil has improved so much in the last 8 years I thought it could only be good for the Auto.

Cleaned sump & magnet, replaced filter & fluid with correct spec.

I used (Penrite ATF DX-VI (Full Syn.) oil)
DEXRON 6 as recommended by GM.

I reset the Auto ECU so that it could learn my driving style.

All this was noticeable in smoother gear changes and the torque converter locks up completely at 60 kmh.

The RRV had only done 83,000k when I picked it up now done 91,000k.

I too will look at the 2010 TDV8 in a few years time but need have some fun with this one first.:)
