Looking at installing am icom 440 Remote handset UHF in my 2011 Range Rover sport issues I have are:
1. Where do you put the mic, don't want to drill holes in the dash but have no idea where to mount the mic, have seen the clip on things and the one that goes near the starter button is in the right spot, but looks ugly as it partially covers the aircon vent?
Have seen a thread which I can no longer find for how to make and mount a bracket above the drivers left knee for the mic, anybody remember this?
2. Antenna mounting, looking at getting a roof platform, so interested in mounting the antenna on the roof rack tracks with intetchangable whips, a longer whip for when I have the rack loaded and a little rubber one for the rest on the time, going to remove the rack for everyday use.
I have seen a post on here a while back of where to run the cable and etc but for the life of me can not find it again.
So I need ideas on how to get the cable back into the car without it being pinched by the rear boot lid all on the time?
Thanks In advanced and I hope I have put this in the correct section.
James.
