Mines just carked it!
Well actually not just now, some weeks ago.

I have a solar panel on my roof rack that trickles the battery when the car is off.. Prob is with the overcast days we have been having, I didn't realise the the solar panel was all that was keeping it together.
Load tested it and it is very fubar!

There are plenty of threads on replacement batteries for D2's, but does anyone have a tip where to source one at a competitive price in North Brisbane?
Best quote so far is 265 fitted. Not bad but could I do better?

Golden opportunity to fit starting and second battery .... you can fit a pair of Optimas in the standard space ... (I am biased though!)

One of the members has something worth a look. The thread below. I got one of the earlier ones.

And there are some VERY competitive prices for Optima D34 Yellow Tops on, you guessed it.

Picked up a brand spanking Optima Yellow Top D34/78 from an almost local distributor for $290 inc GST!:D The 78 was same price so grabbed that.
Just gotta save for a modified battery tray, second yellow top, and dual battery setup.:(

I never thought the TD5 could crank that fast! I realise how the solar panel trickle was the only thing letting me start the old girl for probably 10-12 months now. Amazing difference in cranking.
