Hello just about to order my Consule for my Defender and need some help regarding cb I have a uniden 400 Tx was wondering if somebody could give me the positives in having 2 cbs or 1 if I should get a 2 nd what would they recommend I am a bit confused

Why do you need two?
Typically, one radio is used to monitor emergency/ public channels while he second is used for group chat with the party you're travelling with.

IF you were going to the expense of a second UHF,surely it would be a decent portable unit???? They are about the same price as a fixed unit.

I've got a GME TX3100 in car, and carry a Uniden UH076SX portable (5W).
I've never really listened to the emergency channel concurrently, but it's great ton put in the car with someone who doesn't have a UHF so you can keep in touch while wheeling, or even just travelling in different cars.
