Picked her up today new hood lining looks great . Drives very well will put her in for an auto service asap but everything feels good. Only 114ooo ks so it's just run in really. Looking forward to some trips exploring around Sydney. I ordered a sat nav stereo with reverese camera etc today and will get at fitted next week. Looked at Tyres today not much available in 19 inch. looks like the Pirelli Scorpion Zero is about the best. :)

Looks good.
Unless you particularly like the ride and feel (less body roll) of the current setup, I would sell the 19" rims and buy some 18s. 18" rims fit your model and there's more choice in 18" tyres. The rims are easy to find.

Yes I was looking at those Maxis bighorns on 18s now they do look the goods. Wonder how they would hold up on long trips on the blacktop though. On the lookout for a genuine bullbar as well if anyone had one or knows where to get one. I will probably build a fit out for the rear like I did for my defender . I also found the thingy to reset the suspension heights today and I will have to get one of those as well.:)

Went on flea bay then to the their own website ...cheaper. I called the guy had a chat 2 year warranty plug and play ready to go into genuine Range Rover plugs.
I added the reveres camera option front recorder camera so I can send video of idiots to liveleak lol and upgraded radio. They are made in China but so is everything else these days. My Raymarine radar & plotter from China were excellent. Now there is a bit of dash to trim and you can find a video on utube that shows how nothing drastic but it is only reversible if you buy a new or secondhand plastic cradle.:)

Thanks Mike, does it look sort of 'factory' or is it obvious it's an aftermarket unit due to the fit, etc? Got a pic of it installed in your car?
Cheers - Gav. :)

We took the Rangy back to the dealer yesterday to have 2 small dents removed with paintless dent removal. I havnt had this done before and was amazed at how well it worked. The dent in the rear tailgate was about 100mm x 80 mm depression now gone can't even see where it was. The bonnet golf ball size ding is also gone. I have the guys number if anyone needs similar . I highly recommend him.:)
Now I'm chasing a roof rack I found Voyager in the US look the goods nice low profile. If anyone else is interested in importing one in let me know. Or if there is someone already bringing them . Voyager also make a nice ladder as well see on their website.

Looks like I will have to settle for a genuine bullbar and modify a landcruiser spare carrier or build one from scratch.

Just bought a brand new in the box bullbar for the L322 in the States Tampa Florida for $700. Using re-ship as my US address freight to Australia $198 . Works out cheaper than buying a secondhand one if you can find one that is. If this re ship works I will go for the roof rack from Voyager in the Statesmas well.

I got an email from Voyager this morning they have. 10/15 day shipping time from order then 30/60 days to get here in a ship . There is a reseller here in Australia but he doesn't have any stock at present. They asked what city I live in and will get back to me with a more accurate shipping quote. They estimate around $400 US shipping plus $1099 US for the basic rack plus $239 US for the ladder. They can customise & add anything you like as well . They also sell a plastic floor or you can get stretch mesh welded in.

I called them this morning they do alloy & steel . Steel is zinc dipped then powder coated . Alloy about $230 dearer than steel. They can can add custom bits as well and have several varieties to suit roof top tents etc. :)

Yep it's a chinese unit but it's fitted with the same plugs to go direct into the landrover. Chinese stuff these days isn't bad. All my radar & plotter from raymarine is made in China. There are not many companies left who don't outsource to China for components then assemble themselves.

yes sir you are right, there a lot of companies making good stuff in china, however, with experience with these units, I can say there is a big difference between a Raymarine C Series Plotter or ST60 pilot (I've got one of each) and these plug'n'play units. There was a big in depth thread a couple years ago about these exact units.
Just because some stuff made in china is good doesn't mean it all is - I had one of those units in another car - behind the fascia it is a standard unit that fits many cars (they change the fascia and the plugs) - they are cheap for a reason (they don't even match the profile of the timber trim either side and sit over the panel below)... If you are happy with cheap all good - happy for your stoke, But they are no comparison to a quality unit.

I will do a test on it and report how well it works over the next few months . We will see how it goes . :) it has a 2 year warranty and backing from an Aussie company in Melb & Sydney called Digoptions. Everything I have read about them is good lots of positive feedback on Ebay & other sites.

Just drained the oil and pulled the sump off the gearbox. Never been changed in its life oil dirty and a bit of very fine metal sludge on the magnet. No lumps and nothing to scary but I'm glad I have that extended warranty for the next 3 years .:)

Cut the filter open after you change it, mine was the same but has small amounts of TC clutch material. (I had also changed for a HD TC at the time)

I'm keen to see the head unit fitted as it is a easy upgrade for those of us the only have the standard stereo with pixel issues.
I was looking at this unit as it was android and would work with OBDII for diagnostics

Same facia as your one. I was thinking of painting it silver to match the factory unit

I'm getting it fitted on the 10th when I get back from Brisvegas. I will post some pics. I saw the Aliexpress one but went for the aussie importer dig options for the 2 year warranty and ease of communication. Don't paint you can get the vinyl stick on or get a full wood kit like the one I just bought . It does have a slightly curved facia but still fits ok.:o

Left Palm Beach Sydney this morning with a full tank pulled into Ashgrove Brisy with 10 litres left only took 90 at the pump. That's under 9 litres per 100k .:o
Clocked 1035 ks, I am very impressed with this car . I sat on the speed limit everywhere. Dropped into Balina & Ocean Shores to visit friends. Still did the full journey in 12 hrs most comfortable long drive I have ever done. I went over Barringar range to try it out around the bends and it also handles quite well. :):):):D

Heading back to Sydney still managed the trip,on one tank 1000 ks with 5 lites left in the tank next morning. This time the vehicle was loaded up with 3 adults and lots of gear . I got a transfer neutral warning pop up a few times on the way home. I stoped and engaged low range in and out half a dozen times and it has gone away. Fuse 37 is bare so its not that . I doubt if low range has ever been used previously. :)
