You think Nanocom being an Italian company would make a version to suit an Italian vehicle, but nonanocom .
There are only a few diagnostic tools that will talk to the Iveco Bosch EDC17 ECU and even the $20,000 Eltrac EASY (the official Iveco dealer level tool) will not reflash the ECU through the ODB2 Port.
$20,000+ is the price Iveco quoted for this diagnostic tool plus $3500 a year subscription for live updates & connection to the Server, Its only available to dealers.
Not having a Diagnostic tool ties you to going to a dealer for services, that seems to be anticompetitive to me. Costa $180 - $200 a pop just to have the computer hooked up at Iveco, and around $800 for a basic service.
Theres a whole online community thats just into diagnostics, its possible to buy the software (probably counterfeit ) a cloned device and a Toughbook for around $4500 - $6000 , A lot of money but its going to save me longterm, and of course If I get stuck in the bush I can self diagnose & clear faults :).

I only need to do the Daily 4x4 ( my 2013 is actually a MY2009) but it can do any Iveco vehicle,

the ECU holds a log of the entire vehicle history, it can not be erased, so Iveco can tell if you have been abusing the vehicle (to void the warranty I suppose)
