A member of the LROC Sydney needs a SIII 4 cyl engine rebuilt/reconditioned but is having trouble finding a factory/workshop willing to do it. He's got no internet.

He lives in the Northern Rivers of NSW but is even considering taking the engine to Sydney.

Anyone have an idea of a workshop who is willing/experienced with Rover 4 cyl engines?

I had one completely rebuilt by George at Land Vehicle Spares
Really good job
It had the works done and started first time (he asked me to come down and start it)
George is a perfectionist and the work takes a long time so don't be in a rush
The motor is running really well after 6 months on the road and 2500km

I advised the member of LVS earlier, but he's still hoping for a workshop closer to home.

Try the garage at Burringbar, Marshalls I think is the name they buy, sell and fix landies:)

I don't know that All Four x 4 do engine rebuilds, but it is likely they know someone a bit further north who does.

there is an engine rebuilder on the gold coast in Burleigh, but I don't know if they would want to tackle it.

I would normally give it a go, but my work commitments are way up, don't have time to fix my own landys.

You could try Lee Mears engine reconditioning East Maitland NSW 49 33 7222, he rebuilt the engine in my Series 1 (for the previous owner) cheers Dennis
