Passenger door won't open from outside

Guys,
When I unlock the car all the doors will unlock except the RHR one, to get it open I have to do it from the inside. But when I go to lock the car all 4 will lock though. I have searched the forum and cannot see any posts regarding this problem with a rear door, can anybody point me in the right direction with this problem.

Hi, it's simple and very common...you need a new door latch assy, they always fail on the unlock first

Ok, thanks, I have the inner panel off, do I need the outer latch or the whole lock assy where the harness clips into? can you recommend a supplier?

See if you can adjust the latch before you replace everything. I had this problem over a year ago, adjusted the plastic threaded bit which the exterior handle rod hooks into. the problem has not come back. my thread is here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/1990316-post2.html

or you can try this too Discovery 2 rear door lock fix (http://www.mud-club.com/index.php'topic=81096.0) but in the end you'll need an actuator anyway without doubt

Thanks for the tips everyone, I tried the adjustments and no joy, the new lock assy arrived onFriday and I have fitted it, works a treat.
