I think spudboy might have a Tonga green one.
I seem to remember reading an old thread a few days ago mentioning it.

Regards,
Mike.

If you're not sure if your car is Tonga Green and it meets the following criteria, it might well be. Tonga was used for a very small time frame between 2006 and 2008 and its a flat green.

Specification:

Defender 2006 to 2008, Non-metallic Green.
Manufacturers Plate Colour Code LRC.JUC91

Cheers,

Lou

My FFR 110 ex mil is listed as "Tonga Green" but it is painted camo!
Not sure what they call the tan or the black.

Cheers, Mick.

Just checked the broacher it was metallic not a flat paint. Thought I was going nuts for a second then

Edit: yes Murray Tonga depeding on the light could look anything from green, grey, brown and purple. I had someone argue with me once that my car was grey!!! :D

Hi Guys,

Sorry if my post appeared a duff steer, but for some reason Land Rover used the same name for two completely different green colors...

Those cars in the photos are obviously metallic 904 Tonga Green Mts 2ct 04- LRC.904. Confusingly LRC.JUC91 is also called Tonga Green and its definitely a non-metallic green...

Research shows that "Tonga Green" was a metallic used from 2004 onward with no specific end date and originally a Range Rover color, while "Tonga Green" was a non-metallic between 2006 and 2008 on Defenders only.

Below a link to a code chart:

none metallic colour (http://coachpainting.info/nonmetallic.html)

One would hope that it was country specific otherwise ordering a green Defender in 2006 could have had mixed results... :D

Cheers,

Lou
