I have to admit I'm pretty disappointed this year. There has always been "questionable" entries over the years but, I think, this year is fairly ordinary.
We're now into the low 40's & some songs I thought would be a lot higher have already gone. I've got no idea of the #1 let alone the top 20. Must be getting old :wheelchair:

You must be! :D. But then again, at 44 I'm hardly in their key demographic either.... There have been a lot of good songs on, but yes, a bit patchy for the last hour or so. Hopefully the top 20 will be great.

I'm sure my neighbours will be glad when it's over...

I am 58 and only listen to JJJ. Occasionally I get sick of some of the music and swap stations only to quickly end up back on JJJ.

OK! Wifey & I are singing along now! (I'm early 60's)

Cool, I thought I was the oldest person to listen to the J's. :). Clearly I have some way to go yet. :D

It's been all I've listened to since 1986.

You are not the oldest Mr Cat, I am 45 and have listened since around 1997. It is pushed as a youth station, but when they have phone ins they seem to get all ages. Given that they probably vet a lot of the calls there are probably a lot of us :) I haven't been able to listen to the hottest 100, but I'm sure it will be repeated this week.

Well, my hopes have been dashed. Had my fingers crossed that Hilltop Hoods 'Cosby Sweater' would get the No 1 spot, but 3 is still pretty good. Peking Duk at No 2 with 'High' is excellent, and No 1 is......

Chet Faker! Wow, he's just about owned the top 10! 'Talk is cheap'. Great song, nice mellow way to finish out a great days listening. :)

Even as a jjj listener I dont hear much of Chet Faker.

I'm actually surprised at his results.

I am 44 and have been listening to jjj for as long as I can remember. I never listened to any other station and probably never will. Many of my mates the same. Hardly youth radio I reckon. I did not listen to hotest 100 this year for first time in a long time. Just doing other things and did not get a chance. I was expecting Cosby sweater to be no 1. I can't help but crank up the volume when ever it comes on. I am not really a hip hop fan but the Hill Top Hoods are pretty dam good.

The only time I don't have the Js playing is when The Hack is on. I can't stand the goody two shoes crap they talk about.

Not very keen on the current hack reporter. I listen anyway cause it coincides with my arvo commute. Today you could have heard about the bloke who has two willys :o

This year I didn't listen to the hottest 100 due to being at work. But I must be losing touch with the music that popular as there was only a handful (literally about 5!) songs in the list that I would listen to. I really cant stand the amount of hip hop music as its just not my thing. Maybe 34 is to old :)

Today you could have heard about the bloke who has two willys :oI heard them talking about that story over the weekend. I'm sure he's a forum member too - I have it narrowed down to about 50 possibilities so far :) .

I also heard them talking about Catfish & the Bottleman (the band) & spoke to the original Catfish & the Bottleman (the busker).
Lo & behold, who's busking outside St James station in Sydney on Australia Day....
