I haven't taken it for a drive since September.
It turns over fine.
The fuel pump whirs away.
I have a healthy spark.
When I turn it over, it doesn't even pop.
I'll have to come back to it later but what else should I check? Is there something I'm missing?

Good point. I'll have to check that later.
I'm off to a car show in the Perentie.

Mick, I've found on mine that when left for a while, it will need to crank for ages to start. One of the reasons I run it every week or so. If your batteries now down a bit, give it a good charge and try again. Bursts of about 10 seconds at a time with a good pause in between will save your starter from melting.

I would, Rod, but I'm having trouble getting it on the trailer.
The Perentie is doing today's duties. Oddly, it's not getting much attention as my mate has his 1914 Vermorel parked nearby.
Oh, well, next year the 101 will draw massive crowds.

That's it! The fuel tank in bone dry. Either someone has syphoned my fuel or my tank has sprung a leak.
Could have been the former. Next doors Commodore was stolen a couple of weeks ago.

Glad it was something simple Mick...;)

Don't know if it is simple yet. Could be a leaking fuel tank.

You coming to Melrose Mick?
I'll bring you over one of my special bottles of optimism. ;)

I'm a cynic. That is, an optimist with experience.
No. Not going to Melrose. Probably not going to Corowa either. I've just done a silly thing that has killed the entertainment budget.
Mmmm.....
Corowa is close-ish. I might make it there.
There are some that know the extent of my silliness and I would ask them to hold their tongues for a while.
No! I didn't buy another 101 (although there is one on the market I would love to buy).

Different 101 Chops. It's an Australian delivered.
Oh, yes, I'd buy the other just for the K5LA horns. I need them for the Perentie (I felt rather inadequate at yesterdays car show).

If you are using 91 with Ethanol then if left for longer than 8 weeks it is dead,it is also hydroscopic which means that the water will start to rust the tank out :( 95 also has a % of ethanol in it.

If anyone came round and tried to pull diesel out of mine, they'd struggle, the RH tank feeds the left and is usually very low, secondly they'd meet a big black dog followed up by someone carrying a boom stick! :D

I think it was a VP. The local constabulary left a calling card.
Surely, if the tank was leaking, there would be the strong odour of petrol. At least there was on the other tank.
I'll fill it next weekend. See if it leaks then.
