Hi all
I understand the best place to mount the main unit is near the steering column under the dash after removing the plastic cover.
How is it mounted? Is there a bracket to fix to? Any photos please?
Thanks
Rob

Run a search using the google box bottom left of the web page!

There is a metal bracket in there you can tech screw to, or make a bracket up for.

Mine is fitted next to the Hand Brake switch works well in that spot. It is easy to reach if needed.

Hi Mowog - I was looking to install the tow pro switch in that location in place of one of the ciggy sockets; how easy is the install? does anything need modified/cut? is the mounting any different for the rotary gear selector models?

Rob - any luck finding details on how to secure the main unit under the dash?

Guys - the OP was asking for where to mount the main unit - not the remote head!

Muskie - is your main unit mounted by being cable-tied to the wiring loom?

Not sure if the D4 arrangement is the same as the D3. I mounted my main unit behind the plastic supporting frame just below the where the light switch module is located.

How do you get the light panel off?

How do you get the light panel off?

From memory, remove the panel below the steering wheel (pulls off with spring clips), then get your hand up in behind the light switch panel and push it out. It may pull out from the front but it was easier to push from behind.

My TowPro (unit and remote switch) is mounted the same Muskies.

Cheers,
Chris

Cheers for that. Had to check. Done. Perfect spot for the Elite knob.

Muskie, thanks for that info but how do you get that panel out (without breaking it)?
