my disco 2 on the bottom pipe coming out or in on the turbo has some oil around where the turbo joins it, is it time to replace turbo or will it be a seal going

Oil is supplied to the turbo bearings , from the engine lubrication system, via a tapping at the front of the full flow filter adapter via a pipe to the top of the turbo, to a banjo connection. Oil then flows out of the bottom pipe, back to the sump, via a pipe which connects to cylinder block below the turbo assembly. Have a good look at the bottom gasket, my money's on it leaking. Bob

Don't put it off mate, or you could be part of that cohort of people who let things go, then when it hits the fan , blame the vehicle. It's like those paranoid people who , every time coolant lowers in the tank, think they have a cylinder head problem. and spend heaps fixing a problem that doesn't exist. Bob

its a little convoluted or wave washer , think it costs 54c.
