Hi all,
I've been searching through the threads for the one that had pics etc of the epb box and the adjustment etc. I'm about to open mine up and clean adjust it and also the shoes etc. just wanted a bit of reassurance to the process incase there is a couple of tricks. I did find it once on here before but buggered if i can now!
Thanks

I think you will find all you need in Bodsy's Brake Bible on the D4 site http://disco4.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11748/Bodsys_Brake_Bible_V1.3.pdf
Someone else may be able to put you onto the link that goes through cleaning/resetting the EPB actuator.

hi all,
Just an update on the handbrake saga.
After taking to a few supposed mechanics and being told it will be an arm and a leg to replace the actuator unit because it made the screech of death noise. I managed to find a place that i could work on it myself (unfortunately have nowhere to jack it up at my place safely). I cleaned out both sides which weren't to bad really and adjusted the shoes up. Bang.. silent handbrake operation once again. So DO NOT listen to these "professionals" that tell you it needs a new actuator. Every one of them looked at it and told me it was stuffed. Its only from reading up on the posts on here that i knew that wasn't correct. So thanks all!! much appreciated.
