what is that chatter

Hi Guys and Girls, could anyone please tell me what that chattering noise is when i open the door, it doesn,t do it every time and sounds like it comes from the centre console. It doesn,t matter which door i open first either.
Is it perhaps just the computer starting up? if so is there reason to be worried? Look forward to your reply.:confused:

Hmm, I cant say I've heard this in mine.

May I suggest you eliminate the obvious options by putting some soft foam/cloth under the centre arm rest lid (BOTH), the drink holders, and take out any coins or crap in all the storage areas?

I once heard of a guy who tore apart his whole interior looking for a jingly tinkly noise only to realise weeks later it was his missus' earrings......:eek:

I get a slight noise from the HVAC temp monitoring fan. More a whir than a chatter, usually heard on shutdown.

Mine does it too.Think it is security system,not sure.

Mines done that from the day I got it. I think Jon is on the money - I asked the same question on FFRR and was told it was the HVAC starting up.
