Well I've just ticked over 3 mths of ownership & 6000km in my 08MY L322 so I thought I'd post a report.

It's getting a lot more use than my Perentie wagon. I generally do 8000 km/yr.

The only expense so far is a tranny & handbrake service, and a bonnet open switch ($40). The tranny fluid was clean which is a good sign. That was its 2nd tranny service.

However, I'm seriously at risk of getting a speeding ticket. The tdv8 has a heap of get up and go. It's so quiet, smooth and powerful, you quickly find yourself going faster than you think.

The fuel economy is about the same as the Isuzu perentie around town, but a lot better on the highway.

I've done a very quick trip to Sydney and back. I felt a heap more fresh after a 800km in this car.

I've also done a trip to Moreton island. It was effortless. The FFRR is at least as capable as the 110. It was interesting to compare the off road ability of the FFRR with a diesel NP Pajero owned by the brother in law. We both attempted to go up a track on a dune to a look out. He just dug himself in while in low range and didn't get too far. The FFRR just bubbled up in high range. I like the Paj but this illustrates the difference TR etc makes. Here's a quick YouTube vid at the end of the trip. http://youtu.be/9PS1m5NzDes

I'm very happy so far. It's in great condition for a 7 year old car with nearly 240,000km. So I gave it a wash. 90655
