I suspect the fpr start to leak again. Last time i replaced was about 2.5 years ago.
I found this on the net and wondering whether this will stop the leaking on the fpr and if anyone have tried use this rebuild kit. If it does I can potentially save at least $200.

Hmm, I don't like the "increased fuel pressure "bit.
My assessment of the TD5 is that it is a non mixture feedback system (no O2 sensors) so it will depend on the fuel pressure to get the correct mixture for a given MAF volume and boost.
ie the map.
So it will run rich. May have extra full boost power. May smoke. May blow the return hose on an EU3.
But on the other hand may be great!
Like a cheap remap LOL.
Has anyone had experience with high pressure fuel pressure regulators?
When I did mine about 2 years ago, I checked with a mirror and torch and skinned knuckles where the fuel was leaking and bought a cheap UK kit as there was no evidence of a leak from the fuel regulator weep hole. Mine is still good to go.

I bought the kit off eBay rather. It's been a few years now and still no issues.

Did you get the regulator with increase pressure as well in the kit you bought from ebay?

4 bar from a VW is all you need :)

No, I didn't replace the regulator, just the seals and gasket - e.g. Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 Fuel Pressure Regulator Repair KIT Gaskets | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Land-Rover-Discovery-2-TD5-Fuel-Pressure-Regulator-Repair-Kit-Gaskets-/200723694871?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2ebc108517) .
I have yet to find any authority on what pressure the standard fuel pressure regulator is as used by Land Rover. So potentially 4 bar might actually just be the standard pressure - or it might be a case of the difference is so small e.g. 3.9 vs 4 bar - that it makes no difference. The only one I have seen available are 4 bar units.

The fuel rail is rated in RAVE at 4 bar..
What more authority do you want?

From this little youtube it looks like the pressure in this case anyway is 3.5/3.6 bar.

If his FPR and gauge are correct a 4 bar regulator would be about 11% to 14% rich. To me this is quite a bit.
Give a bit of extra on full boost but I wonder what it does to fuel economy.

This post says 4 bar which is 58.012PSI.

So why say high pressure FPR at 60 PSI?
I would think 2PSI would be well within error .

The web says 4 bar so it is ok to use then.
Now, is it hard to repkace the regulator? Any hint? Thanks

Get FPR off of engine (the fun part), remove circlip from regulator, guide regulator out, clean FPR and refit new unit with rubber grease on prints, refit circlip and then refit with new o'ring and gasket.
I cheated :) needed to clean the manifold anyway.

Because High/low is relative...
60psi can do you some serious damage!

Tombie - Where'd you find the best place to get the VW unit and what LR specific bits did you need to get hold of to finish the job?

eBay for the regulator and Roverlord for the gasket (got him to chuck in the oring as well in case I cant find my box of goodies).
I have (somewhere in the abyss called my workshop) the entire selection of orings to reseal everything across a TD5... Including the FPR.
