Jeff

I'm looking at buying my daughter a swag and thought an Australian made one should last her well.
Which ones are made here?
Some of their websites are a bit ambiguous.

Saul swags are very Australian, along the traditional style.

Reckon you can't beat Centre Canvas in Alice Springs, for heavy duty and the real deal. They'll modify too if need be and they take phone orders from all over. I've had one for years.

What about Darche ?

Darche don't say made in Australia, only 'designed and tested' on the website, and some just say made from Australian canvas, so I am suspicious.
I can't find a website for Centre Canvas, so it might be between Saul and Sar Major.
Thanks for the responses everybody.

Hey Jeff, here's their contact details. Give them a call, no website but they're the best IMHO. I've found them very helpful, I'm sure they'd email you pics and you can even order any colour/design you like.

I ended up buying a Burke and Wills swag, a local camping shop had them in stock and my daughter's birthday is fast approaching, the label says made in Australia, so maybe it is.

Everything that goes into the making of these products is the best quality available, including the use of Australian made, heavy duty canvas which has all the desirable properties, waterproof, rot proof, shrink resistant and mildew proof. It is a cotton/polyester blend of canvas which is breathable yet very durable. - See more at: Murchison River Swags*|* Our Story (http://murchisonriverswags.com/our-story/#sthash.pcRJjIR9.dpuf)look like a nice swag... not going that far to find out for sure though...

So I gave the swag to my daughter today for her 21st birthday, and she loved it. Then she said, "Burke and Wills, didn't they die a horrible death in the outback?":o

She moved out three years ago, and as she is in Tamworth all her friends had swags, so she wanted one. Even my 18 year old has moved out now, we must be terrible parents :o.

They say they actually weave here in AU:)

My wife son and I all have Downunder swags. We have the Dingo as it is compact and easy to roll out or prop up the ends using a short pole. They have fancier models like the Jumbuck if you want a more dome type arrangment
They are Aussie made and tough as teak. Check out their link below

Good on you Jeff - Raising self reliant children...
Both my Lads were out of home by age 18...
Leaving Emma and I as "empty nesters" by the time I was 40 ;):)
I left home at 16 and never moved back... Modern kids have it too soft!

We have two traditional style Sauls. They're about 15 years old and have survived repeated mistreatment, including the boys sleeping on the beach in them. Took us across the Simpson last year. I've just spent 4 nights camping in mine out the back of Gympie. Simple, tough, practical.

I'm a bit late to the party, but 'Made in Australia' means very little.
https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/groceries/country-of-origin
What you are looking for is 'Product of Australia'.
