What month/year are you after? The lid changed 3 times during the P38 series I believe.

fair question,,,
I would imagine its to suit the Thor engine.
Is there one or two of those types?

I blew a couple up with LPG backfires. A new airbox was a couple of hundred.

Why do you need a P38A lid? Hasn't a D2 a Thor engine?
Are you sure a P38A lid will fit your airbox?

Try and keep up Ron,,,
I'm putting a 4.6 maf on my 4.6,,to do this I need the inlet tubing from a p38 and the airbox lid from a thor engined 4.6 p38,,
but first I need the correct part number,, aparently there are three different airboxes??

In that case, Bundalene probably can't help as he's a D2 dismantler.

Microcat - Spare parts Land Rover catalogue in English (http://lrparts.ru/engl/) shows part number PHB102260 for the complete box for "evaporative loss" setup (presume charcoal canister set up from VIN: Xa4010482). Lid not listed with separate part number. Other boxes are listed for diesel engines and what I assume are the GEMS version.
cheers
