94 soft dash hoodlining

Hi all
my hoodlining has all become unstuck as they do .
My question is what type of a shell will be left if I remove the fallen cloth cover ? Is it a firm base shell construction that I can just leave uncovered . Im not worried about not having a cloth covering any longer .

Yes its relatively firm, kind of like thick egg carton. We removed my bro in laws from his disco and after removing the glue just painted it with vinyl paint, came up good
