Hey guys
After spending days searching the net and local tyre shops for the steel rims i want for my defender i have come up empty handed. I have a shop around the corner that has nearly exactly what i want but after calling the company directly (Dynamic wheels) they said that fitting that would work but wouldn't be completely legal. I have attached a photo of the style of rim and tyre (bfg A/T) that i want. Can anyone steer me into the right direction here. Surely fitting rims that aren't roadworthy could void insurances etc?
Thanks guys

Dynamic make that same rim it is available from Les Richmond Automotive in VIC, i have bought two sets from them and they are very good to deal with. Call them and they will let you know what you need to do to fit the tyres you want.
FYI i have that rim in a -25mm offset with 285/75/r26 BF Goodrich KM'S, BUT this means you need to fit wider wheel arch flares

Sorry yes 16x8, roadworthy? well it's passed a blue slip 5 pink-slips and I have been pulled over by about 25 police since fitting them and no one has ever mentioned there was anything wrong. LRA in VIC will surely be able to advise you on the legalities.

Nice. Those are the exact wheels i want too... I am in NSW which may have slightly different rules. Are you running a lift kit??

Yes My 90 is on +2" flexi coils from suspension stuff with terrafirma +5" shocks with cranked arms and braided brake lines and all the rest of the gear necessary for long travel suspension. It's currently being returned to standard though for sale and to fund my new 110 build.
