G'Day all,
After a search didn't quite answer my question....
I've noticed quite a variance of price on plasma/ dyneema winch lines on the market. I understand that both diameter and length play a part in the cost, but curious if this is a, get-what-you-pay-for, or decreasing margin with increased competition scenario? Are there 'knock-off' ropes out there that are scams?

Cheers

I'm interested in this as well. Seems like there are some companies using "genuine fibers" and others using non-genuine. Not sure if this is correct though. I'm also confused about the difference between plasma and synthetic. Same thing, different branding??

Just a thought (I have no real knowledge on whether such a thing even applies in this situation)...
But do winch ropes have a rated SWL? Do they need to meet Australian (or international) standards?

I'd be chasing products which apply to these standards, if applicable, as you know that all the QC has gone into their manufacture and testing, and you are in fact buying what you are paying for.

I would be going to Nobles for example, for rigging grade quality.
They sell the Tifor amongst many other quality brands, and not outrageous in their pricing.
