Bad radio reception

Hi Guys,
I have an issue in my 02 L322 HSE with the radio reception dropping out and searching. Im in Canberra where the reception isnt the best anyway between North and South side, so if the reception is a little weak it will search.
Is there an aerial booster or am I missing a dam box/sensor somewhere.
Any sugestions it has a later model head unit with GPS fitted.

Also what is the best way to remove the CD stacker. Not sure how to get the main dash facia off.:confused:

remove glovebox as CD stacker is screwed in from sides!
2003 HSE 2.9D, I've got a reception issue too as seems the rear window aerial working for key remote but not radio! Only one side aerial working.
