Are the starter motors between 97 P38A 4.6 and d2 4.0 interchangeable?

Per the thread title...and ive got 260k out of my original d2....dont know how much longer i can expect. My d1 starter has done 290k v8.

Yes, they're all interchangeable, the V8 starters.
