Camera Footage of Kamikaze Attack in 1945
About the best naval footage ever shot by a Navy cameraman. The camera was in the gun turret under attack.
Amazing! The USS Laffey, "the ship that would not die," was hit by 6 Kamikazes and 4 bombs, but remained afloat after an 80 minute battle that included 22 Kamikaze attacks.

Post-war her Captain wrote a book called 'The Ship That Would Not Die'. I will get around to reading it one day.

Their damage control must have been spot on, having instructed in that field whilst in the RAN, 6 Kamakazis, 4 bombs..... a top effort. I must find that book myself, it should be compulsory reading for RAN ships companies, I reckon. Bob
