I'could have sworn I posted about this ages ago, but can't find it now.

Anyway, every now and then the drivers door won't unlock. The key doesn't work, and trying to manually lift the lock button doesn't work either. It lifts most of the way, but you just can't seem to get it the final couple of mm.

It only seems to happen when using the button to lock the door. I can't recall this happening any time after locking/unlocking the door with the key.

After much swearing and cursing, and every combination of pushing up the lock whilst trying the interior and exterior button, it finally gives. Sometimes takes many minutes.

Very ****ing frustrating.

Anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?

My passenger door does that when people try to lock it by pushing in the button (after tell them not too!). Actually last time my little boy was playing in it I tried to open the door as he lent on the lock, oops.
To open, tilt the seat forward and jump in the back seat with a small flat lady screwdriver, you will see a bit in the lock that you can push up to open the door. Not hard once you work it out. My cure is the lock it with the key, but I suspect maybe something needs lubricating, that usually solves most problems:D

Same problem with my front passenger door & the rear passenger door, left side (which has to be unlocked manually).

The interesting thing is, the front door unlocks fine after I turn the ignition off and the doors automatically unlock. The only way to get the front door to unlock otherwise, is to operate the override on the dash AND manually open using the door handle. Strange.

I suspect it's a matter of adjustment, rather than being completely stuffed, but I don't know how to do this.

On my 110 county , they have long push buttons , I have had passengers that have had the window opened , and inadvertently pushed the button down locking the door . Then they try to get out , pull on the door lever , and of course the door doesn't open . What I've then found is the internal linkage has stretched . So off with the door card and readjust . The thing is the linkage is very poor quality , and the metal is quite soft . It's an easy fix , but does take a bit of time . I would think that you may have to go down that road , and take the door card off . Look at the adjustment of the linkage ? I hope this helps !!.. Jim
