When I had to re-route my water heating lines to the LPG regulator, I had to cut both inwards and outwards heater hoses. Having an extra 6 possible leakage (overheating) spots was causing me some concern--
and I started thinking about overheating/low water alarms,,
and then I thought about mobile phones and Torque.
For some reason we were still carrying Di's old samsung galaxy 1 around, Bingo!
Instant water temp guage!:D

did you mount the old phone anywhere specific.
Ive got a Iphone cradle mounted next to the instrument binnacle, and using dash command linked to a OBD wifi connector, but i use my iphone for the GPS nav so while thats on i cant see the OBD app.
I have an olderr android phone i dont use and can put the Tourque app on it, but was looking for a good place to mount it.
Was thiking up above the mirror under the overhead console. Easy to run a power cable up there for a permanant supply, and it will connect to the ODB via bluetooth.

not really, it sits quite well on its side down in front of the Hi-Low lever, pretty dark down there and the numbers stand out well. At the moment it shares the one 5v power supply with Mrs Pedro's tablet and Galaxy5. We usually charge everything overnight in the van though.
