Hi all,
I have 260,000k on my 4.0 at the moment. I have just replaced (before any sign of failure) the Crank Angle Sensor with a new guine Bosch one.
I am replacing the motor with one that has done VERY low k's owing to mine having had a dribbling injector. So apart from servicing the injectors and doing the above I am going to install the starter motor from the new low k motor. Aside from that the only other thing that could really leave me stranded is fuel pump. Mine is original and is not noisy and the vehicle starts instantly. I have an original in my 95 Disco 1 that has done close to 300,000k and has been noisy since 160,000k...
To replace my fuel pump I need to remove my LPG tanks (the LPG system does not have an emergency LPG start function).
Is that a good idea or paranoid for doing fairly remote driving?
Cheers
