I have a 2005 D3 TDV6. The alternator has done about 150k kms and am considering doing a pre-emptive rebuild.

My investigations have lead me to believe that this may well be the appropriate rectifier/regulator/brush set.

DENSO ALTERNATOR RECTIFIER REGULATOR FORD FOCUS FIESTA C-MAX KUGA 1,6 2,0 TDCi | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DENSO-ALTERNATOR-RECTIFIER-REGULATOR-FORD-FOCUS-FIESTA-C-MAX-KUGA-1-6-2-0-TDCi-/221522744157?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_205&hash=item3393c8d35d)

Can anyone confirm or enlighten me?

Regards
Trevor

From other pictures of D3 TDV6 alternators it seems that the connector on the regulator should be pointing out the rear rather than out the side.
.
If you get the Denso numbers from the alternator label then search for a rectifier for that part number you might be more likely to get the correct one.

You may be better looking at a Toyota Land Cruiser alternator.
The D2 alternator has the same brushes etc as the Landcruiser.

I'm on the same position with a 2005 D3 and 135K. Be interested if you can find a kit.
