Just bought an L322 TD6 2002. Am looking at scanner options any recommendations?
IIDT > convenient but relies on display being serviceable, no EAS Cal too
RSW AllComms > probably my pick but needs a laptop, probably buy an eBay Toughbook and add an SSD
Hawkeye > getting more $ but no other eqt required
Does anyone know if there are significant function differences between the systems?

It looks like the Nanocom isn't available for your model.
Maybe a Faultmate FCR? https://blackbox-solutions.com/shop/

I have iid and hawkeye. The iid is good but the hawkeye has a lot more features.

I've got an IIDTool with blue tooth. Very happy. Can view on I-Pad etc . Has EAS Control & more as does the normal IIDTool .

Depends what you want it for.
I have IID and it is very limiting - will sell you mine.
If you want to read and clear faults and maybe update a couple of basic settings then IID is good - for true trouble shooting and testing it does not have anywhere near full functionality - try manually firing some basic circuits (condensor fan comes to mind).
And don't get me started about the 4 digit codes that it returns sometimes. If i just wanted the OBD2 codes I could used a $30 scanner off ebay. In saying this, the GAP guys are very fast to provide the error relating to the codes but really the tool should cover them all.

I have the RSW allcoms and the icarsoft i930.
The allcoms is easy but very limited, and the i930 I am still susing out but is also just a glorified code reader, but seems to clear everything I have thrown at it so far.
Happy to answer q's on both in regards to a TD6.

So I've gone for the faultmate fcr. Just got the DHL No one home card so time will tell over weekend. Main reason over allcomms is td6 support and tranmission ecu for same. Thanks for the comments.

The allcoms will support the GM 5l40E trans, I can verify this, it uses the same ecu firmware or something as the ZF one.
I have used my RSW allcoms to read and clear trans faults a number of times.
Has no TD6 support though.
