Come on, own up :p
I'm looking for an R34 GT-T to keep the disco company.
Be interested to hear from a few owners ;)
And yes, have already joined SAU.
Cheers

Commodore vs Skyline showdown coming up? :p
I'd love a GT-R but I'm not spending $60k...

A boosted SR20 is a quick car. Got a mate with a built one which runs a low 7 second eighth mile. Extrapolated To Approx 12.02s pass on the quarter.

Commodore vs Skyline showdown coming up? :p Dream on.
I'd love a GT-R but I'm not spending $60k...Crikey! The fellow I worked with who was into Skylines in a big way never paid that much for them.

many R31 here, local and import.
find it hard to get excited after R32. but . better than a commodore in the drive way.

Mitch, Once I get one and get it 'sorted' we'll have to have a little showdown and impress all the hektik y00t ladz down Peel St :p
There are a few mint GTR V-spec (and an N1) on carsales atm attracting $120k. Keeping in mind those are nutjob 'Only driven out of the garage to service it' type cars. But for a 99MY car.....
R31-32 I find to be 'not quite there' for my tastes. R33 is okay but I figure if I'm buying a Skyline I might as well get the closest thing to what I want. R34 GT-T fits the bill.

There's plenty of the ute crowd here, as you well know. Possum hole exhaust, aerials from 5-post up the wahzoo... bundy stickers as far as the eye can see. Not my scene, butI do like to razz them up on occasion with the zed.
What draws you to the 34 gt-t? Is there anything in particular you need in the potential new vehicle?
Before I committed on buying the landy, I was looking at a bmw m3. The e36's are selling for similar coin to the gtt, and would be a comfortable ride, relatively quick (yet refined), with a heap of tuner parts available if that's your thing. Plus if your town is anything like mine, the showy cars get a little too much attention, while a m3 would fly a little more below the radar.

I've wanted a 34 for over 10 years. As I said, can't afford a GT-R, so GT-T is close enough :)
Did consider things like beamers and taking the 3L liberty off mums hands but it comes down to what I want really :) I want an R34, therefore I'm going to get one. Simple as that really
Lol. Yes, there are some exceptionally bad yootz here.
As for the cops well.... I'll be one shortly ;) that and I won't be going too wild, and whatever I do will be done with stealth in mind so I'll take my chances :)

Years ago we had a 78 Skyline, 2.4 litre six, 5 speed.
Beautiful car, very well appointed and way ahead of it's time in a lot of ways.
The only mod I did was to fit a Weber carby and it run like a dream, excellent fuel economy and great performance.
Cheers, Mick.

My 1989 R31 Wagon with an RB20DET.

Currently off the road having a bit of a belated 500k birthday! Replacing all bushings, overhauling the brakes, new suspension with s13 front end and coilovers. Also going to rebuild the steering rack and fix a few minor issues in the engine bay.
Also planning on fixing dented panels, removing rust spots and quite possibly a whole new interior. Luckily there's enough second hand parts kicking around for these that it's not all that expensive, i.e I got quoted by a wreckers $250 for all the interior trim in mint condition, I could probably get it cheaper privately.

That blue theme to the engine bay is definitely going, yuk.
Depending on how money is going at the end I wouldn't mind giving her a respray, I might even have a shot at doing it myself, although I'd quite possibly make a mess of it.
Was half considering going for a colour theme like the dr30, pretty into it but not sure how it would look on a wagon.

Aren't they ALL imports ??

Back in the day, some of the Skylines and other Nissans were assembled at the Nissan plant at Clayton. Volvos were also assembled on the same production line.
That was back in the day. Back when they had to have some local input.
But, I think Eevo is referring to those already here rather than a private import today.

I wouldn't hand over $35k without checking it out ;)
But a GT-T will do me just fine, anything else and I'd probably end up killing myself
