I was driving around Europe the year the wall came down or the year after.

There were Trabants broken down EVERYWHERE, in France Italy, Austria, West Germany. There were also Eastern Bloc Tour Buses broken down everywhere.

It was incredible how Eastern Bloc people just rushed out on holidays or buying trips including Romanians, Hungarians,etc etc.

I thought the worldwide group of 2CVs that went to the tip of cape York was probably more impressive.
I remember being passed by one driven by a young lady near Port Macquarie. She was hitting 120Kmh or so downhill of course.
It was from Google in 2000.
