Has anyone upgraded there's to larger ones ? I don't mean the towing ones
Like larger ones such as land cruiser style "I'm a pervious owner of a 120 cruiser and the mirros were good with a lift could see the ground as well as beside me at door handle height

I did some research on this some time ago, trying to get ones that would fit into the existing base but provide a bigger mirror, plus retain electrics (movement and heating) but so far no luck

I fella's.
We all need to ring up Clearview Towing Mirrors (03) 8351 9933, and ask when they are developing some to suit the Disco 2. When I rung 12-18 months ago, they said they were going to work on it. I see they've recently got some made for the Disco 3/4. More pressure is needed from us to they get off their butt! I WANT SOME ON MY VEHICLE, DAMN IT!!
Good luck!

Sorry. I think they look bloody awful (where is that vomit emoticon?). My old man has them on his 200 series. They make the car look a metre wider each side even when retracted. I can't wait to take him on some tight trails and get the bush to rip them off. But understand they may be useful to gray nomads and latte slurpers who don't go off road :wasntme::D

I too like larger head mirrors than the disco provide but I've got to admit, it did concern me that the Clearview were an additional 100mm further out than standard. Bush tracks would be a problem.
As I am pulling my camper nearly full time (we are travelling around Oz), I would like a larger mirror, especially when it comes to reversing between trees etc!

What you need is convex glass...
Would have to be custom made as i don't think there's any aftermarket ones doing them currently.
If you do chase it up, please share, as I am looking at going down this avenue myself.

I recently had to replace my passenger side mirror glass and the one I bought from all4x4 is convex. It's much better than the standard non convex one.

I'd given up trying to find a larger mirror that would just replace the standard D2 versions.
Went to Autobarn the other day and saw these. Look a little like a peeping ET, but for my purposes get rid of any blind spots. Each of the two little convex versions in each unit swivels in all directions. Still getting used to them, but I sometimes find myself first using them for a quick check before a more detailed look in the big 'uns. You need to expand the pix to get a good look.
