I have had some issues with my wipers since I picked up my 91 FFR.

Initially the wipers were going all the time. That is now OK but I think that was a symptom of an issue with the self parking mechanism.
I assume the wipers are supposed to self park.
Is there supposed to be an intermittent function?
Is the box on the side of the wiper motor the wiper delay unit (wording taken from the wiring diagram) that controls the intermittent function? and self parking?
Is this unit serviceable? Or common to other 110 county/defender models?

Any help would be greatly appeciated :)

Mine has fast and faster, no intermittent. You might be able to get a special relay that you can manually program an intermittent function.

Not sure if it is compatible with our Aussie built Perenties though.

My '90 FFR has intermittent.

From off position:
Up 1 click for slow wiping,
Up 2 clicks for "fast" (more like "less slow").
OR
Down 1 click for intermittent. non-variable.
AND
Pull back for water.

I may have up and down mixed up. It's an unconscious activity now.

They self park when selecting "off".

I always assumed this was standard.

Down 1 click for intermittent. non-variable.

I'm going to try this when I get home, I didn't realize the stick went the other way!

Thanks Dave thats what I thought.

I think the box of electrical wizardry is not longer doing the correct things!
