Just recieved my new Nikon P900 bridge camera with 24-2000mm optical zoom.
The zoom range on this camera is freakin unbelievable !! Need to find my tripod :)
Nikon Australia - COOLPIX P900 - (http://www.nikon.com.au/en_AU/product/digital-compact-cameras/performance/coolpix-p900)
After I play with it for a while and get my head around it's features I'll post a few pic's.
I did the 35mm (flim stock) SLR / Lenses thing years ago was younger, and when my Canon EOS died :( the digital thing was coming in vogue so for the last 14 years I've been using a Sony Mavica (the one that uses the Mini-CDRW as memory) 2.1MP camera ... it was a means to an end for work and has doubled as a personal camera for that time. Any photo's I've posted since I've been here were shot with the 2.1MP Sony.
... this is a HUGE step-up. Not ready for the cost of a dedicated DSLR + Lenses, and wouldn't get the use out of it for the cost, so this is the next best thing as I see it currently.
Lots to learn.
