This is an amazing video of an Eagle being released from atop the world's tallest building in Dubai with a Go-Pro attached to it's back....the Eagle soares over the city until it spots his handler......(I did search for the wildlife/bird/circus stunt sub forum but decided to post here in SLOW Chat :D)

Stunning footage Dan, I am puzzled as to why you couldn't find the wildlife/bird/circus stunt sub forum, do you not have access to that section?
Cheers, Mick.

Glad you enjoyed it, Mick.....it's amazing how the Eagle can find his handler's landing pad......and when it does, the dive from height is just awesome. I've never really understood forums so yeah, forgive me....:p
Keith - funnily enough, on every country ride I've taken, a bird of prey has escorted me for part of the way.....I take that as a blessing, rather than them realising I have no idea what I'm doing....:D

You know, when I first saw the thread title, I thought, this being a LR forum and all, that it was about the trajectory you'd imposed on a certain brand of camping fridge that had died.

Amazing how effortlessly they get along, and their eyesight is fantastic,it spotted the handler from a long way away.
A bird of prey handler from here once told me a Wedgie could read the newspaper from 2k.:o

Driving back from Caboolture to Dayboro last week, along the gravel track short cut I witnessed two eagles eating a kangaroo carcass on the side of the road. As I approached one flew off but one remained.
I stopped about 20 metres away and I thought I'd creep up to it and get a pic or two. It was just getting dark and as I was going to take a pic the other eagle swooped down above my head
To say I nearly ...t my pants was an understatement, I couldn't believe how big these birds were. Didn't get any pics as I hurried back to the safety of my van rather quickly. We often see them high in the sky but I've never seen them on the ground before, they certainly are beautiful birds :)
