vin number for seating ?

hi all i have checked my vin number and it does not have a specified seating capacity ? i have a 110 97 model defender and have fitted a front centre seat and was wondering if i need to get a mod plate or if there is a plate that has the vehicle seating capacity, i dont have the side rear seats fitted but do have mounting points so what is the legal seating capacity for a 110?

Check out the compliance plate on the firewall in the engine bay. You may have to clean it.
It should have the seating capacity stamped on it. Should be three at least. If it is more. just add the seats and seat belts in the back.
If it is not and you want to add more seats, get in touch with a VASS approved engineer.
