Did you catch last night's Top Gear with the boys driving sports cars to Ushuaia? I know it's an oldie but I haven't seen it before and I'll tell you what impressed me: I don't know why they chose sports cars but they were hopelessly out of their depth (literally!) on this trip. However, they made it to the southern tip of S. America and had the help of an army truck to get them across a river close to the end. Then the fun began and some Malvinas war veterans started attacking them with rocks. Realising they couldn't keep going, they returned to the river crossing to get back to Chile but this time, no army truck! What were they to do? Well, the Top Gear team consists of a whole flotilla of vehicles, including a couple of nice new-looking Disco4s, a bit battle-scarred after the rock throwing but they were able to tow the miserably-inadequate-to-the-task Posche, Lotus and Mustang to safety! Great advertisement for Land Rover I thought...
