G'day all. After a weekend of good fun in the puma, and the first time using low range and diff lock, it's developed quite a pronounced "clatter" below about 1100 RPM, in all gears. It's only about a month old with 2000km on it. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the transfer case. I didn't have any major dramas engaging low range or diff lock, however it did take a couple of attempts on 2 or 3 occasions to get the diff lock in. The noise only seems to happen once the engine has warmed up. First thing this morning it was fine. Pulling into work an hour later the clatter was back. Any ideas?

Yeh I wouldn't be surprised if it is "normal", but was just concerned as it definitely wasn't making that noise before the weekend.

Think of it as a cat purring. Your puma is happy in low range, diff locked.
