Hello all, just purchased a series 3 Seb that has been sitting for many years and the clutch has no pedal whatsoever.
It was shedded with this problem but no details are available.
Any suggestions where to start.
Thanks
Roger.

Hi Roger, welcome to the forum. :)
My guess is that the rubbers in the slave cylinder have gone hard and the fluid has leaked out. I would pull both the master and slave cylinders out and open them up and see what you find. My guess is a lot of rusty gunk. A good clean up, hone the bores with some 400 wet and dry lubed with some CRC, then get some new piston rubbers and rebuild.
If the clutch is like that, my other guess is that the brakes will be in a similar condition.
Cheers - Gav.

Thanks Gav
The only point to this that the vehicle was pushed into the shed some
12 or so years ago with this problem.
This may indicate a pressure plate problem?
Again many thanks for your interest.

Ah, ok. Could be, but I'd start with the master and slave myself. Unless the clutch fork or something's busted. Is there still fluid in the reservoir?

Could be something else, but by far the most likely is the clutch hydraulics.
