GME TX3420 low external speaker volume

Hey guys,

I've just installed a new TX3420 and soon noticed that the volume knob has no effect on the volume of the external speaker and it's also very quiet. I'm quite sure I have an 8ohm speaker and the rated output impedance of the radio is 4ohm. Could this be the issue?

Hey all,

Upon further investigation I've realised that the speaker is actually a 4 ohm speaker. I'm having the weirdest issue in that the audio volume on receiving a transmission is at full level though it quickly decays to near inaudible (certainly not understandable) within 3 seconds or so. I've disabled the Dynamic Volume Control function but the problem exists.
