17 Speaker Meridian Audio System

Just wondering if anyone has the 17 speaker Meridian system by chance and wondering if they are happy with it? Im looking at upgrading my MY13 HSE and will option this as i like good audio but my car has the Harmon Kardon system and i have only heard an 8 speaker Meridian system in a new RRS and i wasn't overly impressed.

I would be keen to know about the system if anyone has one?!

I have the 17 speaker kit because as I wanted the active diff the vehicle came from UK as special order. They put in the 17 sp. kit by mistake... I refused to pay the extra which put the dealer in a bit of bind ' cos they couldn't take it out. LR tried to give it me at half price but I stuck to my guns! OH, also the active headlight thingy!... not bad eh!
As for the system... I''ll let you know when I put a new battery in my hearing aid... (that's why I didn't order it in the first place)

I have the upgraded sound system in a MY15 TDV6. I am very happy with it. I ordered the upgrade because I wanted the larger screen for the rear view camera. My hearing is not very good, however it sounds a lot better than my previous standard sound system in my Holden Commodore.

As my D4 was a demo model and has all the bells and whistles.
including the same sound system as Boggs. Mum likes it as she leans over
turns the radio or cd up when she hears a good song. usually between 30 to 50.
The system sounds great. Lucky I don't have a hearing aid

I have the 11 speaker system and am very happy with it! I do like to listen to my music loudly and it has handled everything that i've thrown at it very well. The system constantly reminds me that it has a sub :)

The 11 speaker system i have in my HSE is great but its a Harmon Kardon one and I'm wondering if the Meridian 17speaker one is any good! But i do like HK

Did you get the 17spk in yours Kev? They do have a good sound the 11spk HK system!!

I have a high spec Meridian system in my F-type Jag. There have been a lot of complaints on the Jag forum about both sound quality and rattles etc.

Overall I haven't had the rattle issues and I don't think it is a bad system but it is not nearly as good as the basic spec Harmon Kardon system in my D3 from a sound quality perspective. To be fair though the F-type has some inherent challenges from both a space perspective and from a external noise perspective (in an awesome way:D)

Ugh thats annoying as i said in my initial question I've got an MY13 HSE with the 11spk Harmon Kardon system and I've had a demo RRS and test drive another RRS with the 8spk Meridian system and both times i thought the sound quality was pretty **** poor i do understand a small system and all of that but yeah i just thought it lacked the quality of the HK system thats my thoughts and i was keen to know if anyone had got the 17speaker system who actually shelled out for it and was interested to know their thoughts. Its a damn shame if its a step down from HK in my eyes as an audio system is a big big thing in my mind!!

I got my D4 thought a car broker he told me that the D4 had this particular sound system. apparently wikth 17 speakers.
I don't use it so don't worry about it being over 60 I only listen to
an AM channel. No don't tell me as my son tells me "Get with the times".

I've had the HK prem sound and now the meridian 17 speaker - only thing I don't like is no max volume indication though sure I have been close at times. Both options have been added by the dealer so not my choice per se but no regrets with the latest versions and if I had to downgrade would def miss it!
