D3 key fob not charging

Any ideas what's wrong?

I have changed batteries in both my key fobs and both have been working fine but suddenly one of them seems to only gay charged enough for about one open of the doors and that's it.

I assume they charge by RF don't know if the reciever is on the way out of maybe a dodgy battery solder

Hi Andrew,
The D3 keyfob battery is charged by an inductive loop in the ignition barrel - so it charges while the car is on. If you leave the spare keyfob out of the car for a while, it can flatten the battery in it. Since you've replaced both batteries, as you say - it could be a dodgy solder joint, or dodgy battery. I have not heard of any issues with the ignition charging circuit - but it is also a possibility.
