Hi Guys
I have a friend chasing a front brake drum for a 1963 109 diesel Landy.Any idea which size drum they need????
Any help much appreciated

I've had a look in the series II/IIA manual and worked backwards.
I would be guessing they would be 11in as all 109 have a bigger master cylinder than the 88's. Reason, bigger brakes require more pressure.
The only sure way to know is your friend to measure the drum and linings.
Brake drum diameter will be 11in + 0.004 and linings 10.45in long, 2½in wide.
If it's not as above then it will be 10in drum + 0.004 and linings 8½ long, 1½in wide.

Im pretty sure all the 109s have the 11 inch drums,havent actually spoke to the guy yet.One of my 10yo boys school mates has this old landy on the farm and he wants to do it up with his dad 8) 8) 8) 8) The message came home from school on a bit of paper via my boy asking did I have a spare brake drum.

G'day landyandy, all the 109 4cyl's share the same size brake drums 11" dia, shoes are 2 1/4" wide but the 6cyl has bigger front brakes the drums are 11" dia but the shoes are 3" wide and the late S2A aand S3 are powerboosted hope that helps cheers dennis

I will see what I can do to find a drum for this young bloke,I have a pair of "new" drums that need a light skim but I dont really want to part with them,pretty sure my bro has a few lying around.
