I had a Redarc Towpro installed on my D3 (as per Sneigy's instructions) with a view to eventually buying a big enough boat to need electric brakes. The boat has been bought and it has Hydrastar electic/hydraulic brakes which need a dedicated positive feed from a 25-40 Amp circuit. I have run a suitable guage wire from pin 2 on the socket back into the LHR fuse area, so what wire can I tap into for this? The same purple one that the EBC uses?
Cheers.

40a will require a dedicated cable from the battery...
Do not use under sized cable on this!!!

Ok thanks. I guess the earth wire will need to be upgraded as well. I have an anderson plug running direct to the battery via a circuit breaker, could I use this?
This is from the installation guide:
"It is critical that the BLACK power lead and WHITE ground lead from the tow vehicle to the input of the
Hydrastar? actuator are sized and terminated, (i.e. dedicated 25-40* amp circuit on the tow vehicle ?
12 gauge wire minimum). 10 gauge wire is recommended to optimize performance. Consult the SAE
wiring guidelines for proper trailer electrical harness design. "

A good Anderson connection would work fine... 50a
